We’ve had some questions about our to-go containers and I’d like to take some time to address them. So here’s the story about our containers and why they are the way they are, believe me we don’t like it either.
I know our containers are not recyclable and this is why. We have tried any and all clear containers that are eco-friendly on the market and we have had lots of issues with them. They melt together from the heat inside the food truck into one giant lump of biodegradable plastic. They also melt from the heat of the food that we put inside the boxes, and no matter if it is bio-degradable or compostable I don’t think either of them are quite digestible. We tried the compostable, almost cardboard looking boxes however they too stick together after being exposed to heat. We do offer $.50 off for anyone who brings their own container, in order to try and offset part of the carbon foot print of our regular containers. If you find a product that doesn’t have the above hazards then we will be more than happy to use the
