I could definitely get used to these cooler mornings. I mentioned yesterday that I was hoping to have Pork Belly on the menu and Windy Hill Farms has come through for us. The Pork Belly Taco has returned!! We’ll also have a treat in store for you tomorrow. Since it’s going to be on the warmer side the Roots crew will be serving Uncle Scotts Root Beer Floats, Peach Ice Cream and Chocolate Mousse with Strawberries. What a great way to finish off the week!!
As many of you gear up for 4th of July festivities this weekend and next week, Roots will be available to offer local meats (Burgers, Brats, Pulled Pork, etc.) pre-made sides, (Summer Slaw, Potato Salad, Pasta Salad, etc.) and most of the classic picnic items many of you love. If you would like to order these for your weekend gathering we can take your order at the cart and setup a delivery time for Tuesday, July 3rd. Please see Kim at the front if you are interested.
You also have the opportunity to add these items to your regular Roots Home Companion Bag. We’ll have sign-up sheets and info on the products we offer at the cart. The deadline is Friday, June 29th to sign up for the July 3rd delivery. The July 3rd bag has some pretty cool local goodies. We’ll have local Blueberries as the condiment. From what I hear at the market, blueberries are going out of season very quickly so were excited to offer you some at their peak. We’ll see you soon for Taco Day!!
