Tuesday, August 7th

Hello,

Roots will not be serving lunch today due to the current and future forecast of rain during our peak lunch time hours.  It may have affected our lunch service but at least the local farmers are rejoicing at the sight of some rain. This can only help the crops trying to grow. While I was on my way to pick up our produce for today I heard a great segment on NPR radio about local food and the importance it has on our economy, your health and the future of our environment.  I’ve posted the link below if you want to read the article. It’s quite interesting and coincides well with our Roots Home Companion program that we deliver every Wednesday. http://www.wfae.org/wfae/1_106_304.cfm?action=detail&id=8912

On that note, we’ll see you all tomorrow for one heck of a Taco Day!! We’re talking 5 taco options; some might tasty desserts and sides.
